Arrchus and the dragon gods

The nigh-dormant Dragonflight of Lex Naktaari has fallen into the annals of history, believed by most to be entirely undone. The mountains and tall, warm hills towering near Draconeum stand silent and lifeless, devoid of any draconic life and activity beyond the faint features and memories of the revered Great Copper Wyrm which once lived there.

Revered as gods by Draconeum, Dragons which make the journey to their lands are treated in kind.
However, this veneration unique to dragons is the product of the legacy of Arrchus, the legendary copper dragon and his favoured and entrusted kindred; The dragonflight once known as the Lex Naktaari.

Entering a new age, all dragons in the land come to hold some connection to the old dragonflight of Lex Naktaari whether they like it or not simply for being what they are and all denizens of the peninsula upon where Draconeum is situated watches with a scrutinizing eye how dragons develop and settle into the region. Dragons who bring about destruction and terrorize the people of the land find themselves with few safe grounds.

Many of the elven communities across the land quickly respond with violent persecution of confirmed malevolent dragons, hunting them down or forcibly drive them out of the peninsula by forbidding them to find anywhere to rest without coming under attack. While Draconeum itself does not resort to such, to them, unholy activities, senselessly harmful and cruel gods who have no reason for their ire soon find themselves defied and de-sanctified or worse yet, targeted by a group of other dragons intent on defending their own status of godhood before the Draconean populace.

If dragons are to have any future, their best hope may be to join with and reinstate the ways of the Lex Naktaari who came before them and usher in a new dawn of prosperity and unity for the dragonflight, in honour of its founder and ancestor; Arrchus.
